The Inspirational Disability

The term “inspiration porn”, coined by Disability Activist Stella Young, or “feel-good” Disability moments has been floating around the internet and disability community for a while. It continues to be a reoccurring problem that spreads a narrative of worthiness and objectification.

Right now People with Disabilities are not able to reintegrate in society due to Covid 19, while many people are able to do so. Isolation impacts their mental health and well-being, loneliness is a real problem, so reach out to your friend or family that has been isolated, skype, zoom, Facebook chat, or whatever application you want to use and reach out to them today.
